I wrote the book so what….

Truth is, “Blindfolded” was published in august of 2021.

It carried momentum and disappointments for a few months… And then silence nothing…. It was like the vision died. Truth is life shifted and changed, and so did my passion. I began picking up the same blindfolds I was encouraging readers to let go of.

I sold my books and hosted a few events… And that was it…

Soon after, people were calling saying, “so what’s next?…. “And with reluctance … my steady response was uh yeah it’s coming…. Chile I wasn’t thinking about that book.

It wasn’t until this month that it hit me…. Girl you feel like you’re lacking purpose because you’ve buried your blueprint.

Sometimes purpose doesn’t lie in what the outcome produces for you, but how you carry the mantle of breakthrough for others. The ones praying for wisdom, insight, and vision, need the same wisdom and insight and vision that you’re holding in your hands…

In Blindfolded, I talked about how we have everything we need to live a life full of God- given purpose.

(2 Peter 1:3) Yet, because of these blindfolds we’ve never reached the mark.

Whether it’s something you picked up and put back down, or the canvas of your life that you’re recreating everyday… it’s time to get back to work…

This work should push you to examine your sight. Now for me, I can’t read the big E at the eye doctor, so baby it might expose what you still can’t see. But wouldn’t you prefer that instead of swerving through life squinting, being one turn away from an accident.

I won’t ask for a report. I teach second graders, but aim to reach life long learners. I won’t ask you anything because honey that’s your business!

But as crazy as it may seem, I still desperately believe in the words and work birthed through blindfolded, and whether you read the book, did the work, or just bought the book to support….. I can’t just let another year slide through the cracks without checking up on your perspective.

If you’ve never read the book “Blindfolded” Here’s the tea…

My life was spiraling down hill, rapidly. I was being blindsided by way too many obstacles. As I laid in defeat, I began realizing it can’t just be me… struggling in my identity, perfection, faith, mental health, relationships, and finances. It wasn’t just me, it was just that no one else was talking about it publicly. I was tired of seeing so many people regardless of race, age, belief, or anything else suffering in silence.

So I created a crash course. No literally a book that surveys the crime scene of our brokenness, and aims to expose the operational blindfolds that led us there.

It forces you to get out of detour mode and face all of you. I share my story, the real raw truth, and I expose my wounds in an effort to heal yours. I discuss the areas of our identity, perfection, faith, mental health, relationships, and finances where we’re failing and suffering miserably because of these mental, emotional, physical, and financial, blindfolds that we have around us. After each chapter or section, I offer food for thought. Intentional spaces to reflect on the work shared that hopefully pushes you to start examining your sight or the lack thereof.

This book “Blindfolded” is my beauty for ashes, and transformed my life completely before it ever had the opportunity to encourage yours.
