The only thing I want to say about day 9 is sometimes “God will break your heart to heal your soul”
Day 10
Let’s get into being intentional ......
Start the timer......
Are you a dreamer?
Where's your proof?
Of course naturally when we sleep dreams are evident......
As we prepare for another 365 I want to dive a little deeper into this idea of how dreams shift our future. From dreams in our rest, to dreams in our heart, and the process of manifesting all of this information in an intentional way....
Dreams in our rest
There are Dreams of revelation..... The other night.. I had a dream where I was yelling profusely at someone I knew.... It was without a doubt evidence that I was carrying some unsettled resentment.... Immediately I heard a still small voice say, "release the un-forgiveness"...Its not the revelation (revealed truth) that is important... It's the action thereafter....
There are Dreams you can’t understand- Sometimes I will have THE most random dreams...Where I wake up and I'm like what the heck just happen... I've had the dream many times where I end up in a public restroom that is dirty...filthy... and all the toilets are full of dirty toilet paper and overflowing...... Now I know there are people who interpret dreams... but if you haven't been blessed with that insight.... Google.... you may get a million different interpretations... but then that's when you go to God and pray for clarity...But if you're anything like me, and youre having that dream over and over.... that's your wake up call!
There are Dreams of deception - Now we also know that the same dreams that leave us hopeful, can deceive us..... Sometimes we will be so hopeful about something that we become obsessed.. We can't stop thinking about it, and in a way it sabotages our dreams.... I remember when I was dating my ex husband and I was soooo unsure about if this was someone I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with. While my flesh was screaming YES!!!!, my spirit was still... and honestly my sight was clear: there were a million red flags to run the other way. However little ol naive Lia wouldn't let it go..... I was having dreams of us getting married and having children... And even though I would wake up to reality, I was still holding on to dreams that I had convinced myself. were a sign from God. Now here I stand in 22' remarried with a baby on the way, and at no point have I had to sabotage any dream into reality.... So saints, we bless God!
There are Dreams of torment - I was just having a conversation this week with one of my good friends about the power of dreams and how the spirit of torment can destroy your progress. Like you'll be intentionally healing from trauma and abuse, clearly pressing toward a mark, and that very thing that you're trying to heal from will realistically show up in your dream, They shared how this shows up in the substance abuse community when you're overcoming addiction... and effortlessly I made the connection of how I had to heal from this in my past marriage. When it was being revealed of all the cheating taking place in our marriage I had so many questions....With who? When? Where?... Were these women I knew?
Then when we separated and later divorced, I began my extensive and intensive healing journey. I would have clear dreams of my ex-husband having sex with women, and in my dream I had a front row seat. I would wake up sick to my stomach and often felt defeated that the very thing I was trying to overcome was honestly haunting me! As I went through counseling, my counselor encouraged me to pray against the spirit of pan-torment, and in time those dreams ceased. Thank God!!!
Dreams of hope- Now let's not get discouraged, but those very dreams that try to haunt us and distract us, or reveal truth, also birth hope. You'll see yourself walking into home ownership, or see a business idea flourishing, you'll see yourself whole and healed.... And we really thank God for all of this! When it is revealed, WRITE IT DOWN!!!!! Jeremiah 29:11 says, "God knows the plans He has for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. To give you a hope and a future." The same God that created the entire world isn't panicking trying to figure out what to do with you and in you next. He created the playbook in the beginning. So as it is revealed, write it down... Because when it comes to pass, it will be your living proof! It may happen a year from now, or forty years from now, but if its got God's touch, it won't return void. On the days when you don't see anything moving or happening, go back to the last piece of proof.
Write them all down because whatever purpose each of these dreams serves, it is the birth place of your earthly desires and transformation.
Dreams in your heart
Sometimes you'll get a random drop in your spirit... You'll see a fly car.... You'll witness how God has healed and delivered someone else.... You'll see a friend flourishing in there career... You'll get tired of working the same 9-5...or looking at the same four walls of an apartment when you could pay lower for a mortgage.... None of this is coincidence. These are all desires of the heart. Psalms 37:4 says, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." Now this doesn't mean treat God like a vending machine. We can't interpret only part of truth. The first part says "Delight yourself in the Lord." Because often times we'll be praying and manifesting things that are not for us, that are harmful for us, that we can't handle, or will set us up to fail. I simply want to say God is the one who gives you what to desire.
Manifesting
Manifesting can be defined as using psychology or thought to create something or turn something from an idea to reality. I wanted to touch on this because as believers, we will often place manifestation on the pedestal that God created. Manifesting doesn't take place
In His word, God isn't declaring that we manifest, instead He urges us to pray without ceasing, to have faith the size of a mustard seed, or to bring our prayers to Him. When you're seed is in the ground, then you nurture it through the word of God.... But we ourselves don't have the power to perform miracles. Manifesting is what you do with the vision or the desire God has placed on your heart, but it is only Him who will bring it to pass.
The power of agreement: dating in romantic, familial, and platonic relationships.
In the Bible there's a story of Joseph. He was favored by his earthly and Heavenly Father. He was a dreamer and could interpret dreams by others. This brought about envy from his brothers and he was literally thrown to the wolves. But the very gift that led him to being thrown away, was the very movement that made him king!
I can not stress enough how impossible it is to allow someone to share the heart of your dreams when they are operating in fear or envy spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially etc. You need dream midwife’s who will birth the dream with you whether it takes 1 year or 50 years. Do not come into agreement with dream killers who are on the fence of their belief about your dreams or are operating in deception of their support for your dream.
When you want to be intentional in supporting someones dream,
Your question can be: How can I show up for you as you are manifesting this dream?
Your prayer can be:
“God give me the spiritual lens to see this dream/ vision with my spouse/ partner/ friend/ sibling/ child/ family member/ coworker/ business partner, supernaturally before I see it naturally. “
Intentionality
After the dream has been revealed, and the seed has been planted:
Be clear and specific - write it down, as clear and specific as you see it or feel it. Or if something is revealed, pray specifically about the how, and when.... If God shows you owning your own business, that doesn't mean quit your 9-5 tomorrow.
Work in your waiting - okay so you have the dream in your heart, now what? Girl update that resume, Bro sign up for that therapy session..... Mama let your kids go so you can get back to you.... Do the research.... Have the hard conversations... Seek those connections. Work that waiting!!!!
Stewarding what you do have - In your desire to dream about tomorrow, inventory what you're doing with that you already have.... that's all.
Examine your capacity to receive - Are you in a place mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially to receive what's waiting for you? What do you need to get rid of in order to make room for what's to come?
When it doesn’t happen when you thought it would or the way you thought it would, do not let that deter your faith— go back to the drawing board
God where did I miss the mark
God re-reveal your time
God what do I need to let go of or shift in this season to prepare for what is to come
God help me to not look at this detour as failure
Let's seal it!!!!
What scripture, memory, motto, or mantra what will you hold onto on the days when your dream seems far off
In one season, my visual was Peter getting off the boat. When he was led by fear he would look down and allow physical restraints like logic sink him. But when he looked back up, back toward the vision, back to where his help came from, he did the impossible.
Another one I’ve quoted often is, "For me this seems impossible, but with you God nothing is impossible"
We're pulling up another 365, don't check the timer, check your proof.
