Be careful Start the timer Speaking of prayers… have you ever prayed the prayer, God if there’s anything I need to see about that person/place, show me? God if there’s someone in my life who shouldn’t be there, remove them? God show me, me?—- ooo that’s the one! And booooyyy what did He show you? Okay if this has never been you, then just skip to the end? Cause you not praying the right prayers anyway!

But no really, I have prayed some of the most dangerous prayers… and in my Kevin hart voice, “ I wasn’t reaaaaddddyyy”

I’ll give you truth…. Between 2021 and 2022 I lost two very close people to me… no they didn’t die…. But our relationships dissolved. Shifted with a quickness. And it honestly felt like I was grieving them as if they had physically left this earth… I mean people who have known the real me for years… people who I would call first in a time of crisis… people who knew my deepest darkest secrets… people I have traveled with and created those impactful memories with… People, who I believed never in a million years would leave… But they did… Now it may be because of that prayer I prayed or just coincidence but I’m confident enough to believe the former… I remember being in counseling, processing these losses and hearing the words, “When you pray these prayers, you need to pray that God will prepare your heart.” God will show what you need to see either way… but when your heart is in a place to receive it, it doesn’t pierce as deep. These revelations are all apart of growth and human development. These are the pivotal moments that develop our character whether we like it or not… Okay maybe for you it’s not a prayer, but it’s a mantra or a belief? Maybe you don’t believe in God, the principal remains the same… be intentional and prepared when it comes to the desires of your heart… in this next season… don’t you dare go out there, stating whimsical beliefs and expecting the universe to bring you back diamonds and pearls. No get your mind right…. Get your prayers right..

So instead of praying empty prayers start here… I declare…. I will live and not die.. and in living I will not live beneath the means that you have set for me… I will live in abundance. I declare….. that as my finances increase and debt is released, God you will give me the wisdom and discipline to steward all that is mine. That I wouldn’t make hastily, or irrational decisions and that the increase wouldn’t only bless me but serve as a reservoir to reach those around me. I declare….. that God even if you need to reveal something to me that may break my heart, it will not break my soul. It will not make me bitter towards you. It will not make me spiteful or full of revenge… but instead it will make me full of peace and grace. God grant me the ability to give those that are not meant for me, the gift of goodbye! I declare… that as I pray and state my intentions and desires, my mouth wouldn’t be a weapon to hinder those blessings. I declare that I will not gossip, or slander the character of those around me. That I will use my words to bless and not harm… that I will use discernment to move away from people who pray against me or secretly hate on me… or who will simply keep me from achieving what you have for me. God I declare… that I will have the faith to believe in the things I can not see! Whether it’s for matters concerning people, places, positions, dreams, or the like, it’s time we start getting more intentional and careful with our words. We all have the authority and know that death and life lies in the power of our tongue… however!!!
